What do you think of Obamacare now that the he even admits its screwed up? Only reason he is admitting it is because he had no choice. Over 100 democrats were siding with the republicans.
I know you are very passionate about it so I wont go into great details here with you. Was the roll out of Obama care not as smooth as he would like? For sure it wasn't. He had no choice but to own up to that fact. There were many factors that go into it like some states not setting up their sites which did bog down the entire process. Either way I am still for it. Could I be completely wrong ? Sure but we can both agree what we have now is not working. So do we stand about crying about it or try something? I am not getting into republican VS democrats, I really don't care. There should be "the people" and nothing else.

My daughter had some friends over last night and two of the boys were flirting. I don't think they've quite come to the terms but it seems as though they will be/are gay.
At one point, a few of them were on the couch and the two were practically on top of one another. One of the kids left and my daughter saw them texting a while later and one kid said, "snuggling was comfy", and the other said, "yea boy"..
These are 15 year old kids.. my daughter is very open minded and accepting, but according to her, one of the kids parents are complete as$holes. She wants to talk to the one kid that she is close to about it, but she is hesitent becuase he hasn't brought it up. Should she breach the subject or leave it alone until he says something?

When I was 15 I knew I was gay and understood it. How could I not? After all I went to a nearby church whose preacher told me every Sunday how wrong and evil I was and that my kind would rot in Hell and burn in fire and damnation for ever and ever. Of course the preacher did not know I was gay as I kept it to myself and a few other boy friends from nearby farms who I messed around with from time to time in the hay lofts. Man those were the days.. But that preacher did damage to my psyche, especially at that young of an age being told you are wrong and despised and even god hates you and want you dead. Uhum anyhow, who knows the kid might like someone else to talk to about it all. She could approach him in a non threatening way and bring up the gay subject and see where it goes. And then go from there. I know you remember when you were 15 as well and how those hormones were going crazy making you horny all the friggen time. So I'm sure if it hasn't gone to full on sex with the other boy it will soon. And if the one boys parent are haters and can cause him to hate himself or worse, he needs to know he has friends he can depend on to tell him otherwise. Just my two pennies on the subject.

Good thoughts Shol'v. I talked to my daughter about it a little more today. Apparently she mentioned it to him before based on something he said or how he said it. When she asked him, he said no, but didn't look confident about it.Originally Posted by Shol'va
She told him if he was that it's ok and she supports him either way, but he said no. It's pretty obvious though, especially after seeing those texts.
I think both you and DSM are right here, and I think that when he comes to terms and is ready to 'come out' he knows he has a friend in my daughter. Until then, she shouldn't press him about it.
My daughter is such an awesome kid. I'm so proud if her.
