My gym plays magic or something like it (easy listening). So, if I don't have my ipod, I go nuts.

If you don't own an ipod you can still put on some random headphones with nothing hooked up to it so nobody bothers you. I've done it a few times when the battery had gone dead.

I know too many f*cking people at my gym to have the luxury of ignoring everyone and putting my iPod on blast.

    I dont need an IPOD.
Its not worth taking a IPOD there and have to take the earphones out every 5 seconds.

People are constantly coming up to me and asking me questions.

Mostly about how much training is. If i fight. Where i fight. Can they come in.

Err!!! Im getting so fed up, i cant wait to get my own equipment in my house...

Occasionally I'll listen to music, but my gym doesn't pipe in any music, and I like most of the people I know there so I don't mind chatting a little bit. I usually bring the Ipod though, just in case an idiot is present.

Used to use it the whole workout. I broke my headphones and I'm too poor to by more, getting by without it. So yes I like it better, but I don't need it. It's a pain when doing dumbell presses, the dangling chord always gets mangled and it's hard not to smash the ipod in my pocket.

I use a shuffle too just for the gym. I went in around 9 pm tonight, and it was the first time in over 6 months where I knew NO ONE at the gym, so I was able to lift without interruption, and without having to take off my earphones every 10 seconds.

i dont remember the last time i did actual cardio in the gym but sh!t i would not go back to doing it w/o an ipod or something to listen to. it just makes it so much more tolerable and maybe even a bit enjoyable if a good enough song comes on.
