    on passion and boredom?

    does anyone knows if there is any difference between passion and boredom. I think the 2 terms are mindbogglling, give it a try.

    Some say Boredom is generally "the emptiness of heart or the absence of passion"....Yet some folks argue "passion is the moment capture by nothingness or uninterrupted duration of nothingness."

    so it seems passion is boredom, and boredom is passion. what do u say?

    I've experienced both passion and boredom, and for me there is no confusion between the two.

    Passion is an endless occurrence of nothingness! You only experience "passion" for a fixed amount of time. Music is passion, it's idea is a sequential continuation of vibrations; perceived by the ear, or hearing. However, the form of energy conveyed through sound... being analog, is observed through continuously variable, measurable, physical quantities.

    I think "Passion" is more of an idea than an occurrence. I think one can BE passionate or have a passion for something, someone, an act... idea.. Whatever it may be. However, when you pursue the passion, you experience joy, or pleasure of some sort. Usually these are linked with a certain sentiment, wherein you're intellectual, and instinctual vibrations, or feelings are in concordance... or equal to a specific set of morals/values/ethics.

    Sorry, just smoked a PHAT pipe.

    So basically, Passion is definitely not boredom... but maybe JOY is?

    I love pain too though. Love that prickly sensations of lactic acid during an intense workout! I am joyous during this time, and yet it's through such a destructive manner. Boredom, is simply lack of passion.

    its a state of mind...passion would be doing something that you love....boredome seems more like tired of not having anything to do...

    Seems like a pretty defined line to me...

    thanks for the genuine feedback, sizerp. but wwhat do u think of the other side of the argument that insist "since passion is anxiety-free and feeling of nothingness" and it is somewhat a joyful boredom because at the height of boredom usually there is no anxiety?

    this sounds like a philosophy discussion 2 guys might have after taking some pills and staying up all night. how could passion and boredom be even remotely comparable. altho i would not agree with either of those statements...i wouldnt even really say they are conflicting. boredom and passion however, are obviously 2 very conflicting states of being and if you dont think so or know the difference, then youve obviously never been even remotely passionate about anything.

    I can see that perspective. Cause when you're in the "now"... it usually means all train of thought is slowed... you cease to "think" or let your logic/head play games on you. So you mean, in that instance of now or nothingness, the passion is fulfilled?

    It's tough to say though.

    I still reason that:
    Boredom = Unwelcome
    Passion = Love/Desire
