The same amount of time it takes you to get a glass of water.

I'm not sure exactly it probably depends on how dehydrated you are.As well as how long it takes for your body to absorb the water/fluid from your stomach which I would imagine wouldn't be very long.

    A guesstimate being 5-15 minutes

I threw up and had diarrhea and didn't eat drink any thing for 36 hours.

I don't think I was hydrated for about 24 hours.

    dont dehydrate yourself.

shedding water for vanity isn't good.

water is needed in the absorption of protein in the body. and it's also necessary in the metabolisation of fat.

unless you're competing - dropping every lb of water is not good..

Hmm, I don't think its that quick.
The water has to move through your stomach and be absorbed and if you notice you can drink a lot of water, 20mins later shake your stomach and still feel a lot of water swishing around.

So I'd say it prob takes around 20-30 mins for the water to really absorb and mix, maybe another 30 to actually feel better if you have a headache/tired etc. Just my guess.
