gotta love puppies.. my sisters talked my mom into a boxer before summer, but since it was a purebred it got one of their diseases and died at around 4 months.. so my mom was crushed and to make up for it she got TWO boxer-lab puppies. these things are out of their minds, one is more boxer, one is more lab, but they are relentless. their big thing is power cords, my tv, my sisters laptop cord TWICE, christmas tree lights, etc..
but they are great dogs. we also have an older black lab, and an older cockerspaniel-poodle. but these puppies were bro/sis so they do everything together. its pretty funny

Chocolates are supposed to be the most difficult of labs so good luck lol.. Right of the bat grab his or her muzzle and say in a firm voice "no chew"... He'll get it after a week or so!

my choc lab used to chew up anything and everything man made he could find in the yard when he was left home alone. or he would break out. good news is he kind of mellowed after a few years...

Aww you have a new puppy! I think labs grow out of their puppy stage though....on the other hand I have 2 boxers that are still in the puppy phase and one is almost 4, complete lack of obedience when I leave the house.
At least you don't think his biting ways are cute right now, try to get him undercontrol before he is completely out of control.

my wife wants a 3rd dog. i'm like "we already have 2 that you don't like" but i'd consider a bigger dog like a lab to keep the two ankle biters in line

yup some labs are just naturally excited. Been hunting them all my life. Some calm as shite,, some crazy as bats. Only time will tell with this one.

i feel you there. my sisters and my mom wanted another, when we already had 2, now we have 4 AND 2 cats! the bigger dog thing doesn't always work. when i was younger we had a rotweiller and it was usually the most passive dog ever, unless someone it thought was a threat came over then it was a menace for a few minutes

that puppy is awesome. they all look innocent but are insane haha
my black lab is a little older but much bigger than that. he's probably like 80-90 pounds and has a huge lump on its chest (imagine a dog having huge gyno)
