    Just Unlocked my 3G Iphone.....

    I just unlocked my 3G cellphone to work with any GSM carrier. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone interested.

    I may take one on the chin for this, but I have a 3g phone and I am not sure the significance of what you have done, so would you mind enlightening me on how that benefits the owner of the phone. THanks.

    When Apple put out the phone it was exclusive to AT&T. You can now use the phone with any GSM carrier of your choice. T-Mobile, Centennial, etc.

    don't you have to activate it on AT&T when you buy it?

    As of November you can activate it online.

    Got my Iphone a few weeks ago from my gf as an early present. She regrets getting it for me as I spend so much time messing around with it. Love it

    Yes, the phone works great. have not seen any real flaws yet. It even comes with a software utility that gives the iphone even more capabilities (if you can believe that). The phone can do it all!

    oh alright. i remember being in NYC for the release and half the apple store was devoted to 3G buyers. also the king of prussia mall a couple weeks later and they were still packed with people
