Nicotine is a vaso-dilator and restricts blood flow.
Blood flow is important for all things related to growth.
You'll have to be the judge on that one.

I've been dipping and chewing for quite awhile. I've switched from grizzly, to skoal, to grizzly pouches, Levi Garret, to Southern Comfort, etc. I find that it doesn't affect my gains as long as I don't dip or chew before or immediately after I workout. If you must have one before, try to give yourself 1-2 hours without one, and 1-2 hours after your workout. These times are crucial for pre and post workout nutrition, which means that blood flow must be at it's best for optimal results.

I'm a habitual copenhagen user. I hate it and love it. I know its time to throw in the towel on it though. I've been doing it for fourteen years now and have been way to lucky up to this point. No cavities, no tooth loss and most importantly, no cancer.

i would rather drink small quantities of alcohol than smoke and chew.
IMO.
Good luck with your goal to quit it.

I hate alcohol and cigs. Dipping snuff is highly cancerous but, I never wind up hung over or out of breath as a result of its use. I've got the "no alcohol policy" under control. If I could quit the copenhagen, I'd be clean as a whistle.

True, it is a vaso-constrictor. I don't chew. But my bro does, and he still had great gains. I still recommend quitting. You'll feel tons better.

i dont think it will inhibit your gains but will probably increase your chances of loosing teeth getting gum disease and developing different types of cancers.

i used to dip ...skoal...mainly long cut...but i kinda came to this conclusion....no matter how good my body looks ill look like hell with a hole in my face or my lip removed....soooo that gave me a new perspective. It easy to rationalize dip b/c u can say well its better than smoking etc.... but its not good for you...gains or not...again this one is a personal choice.... will it seriously inhibit gains...i seriously doubt it...is it bad for you overall - yes.
