check out my girls hip hop group

Were actually not dating anymore, we decided it was bad timing for both of us for now, but were still friends. Anyway she is on a club tour traveling right now. She is Wes Scantlin's (singer for puddle of mud) lil sister. She works real hard and I'm real proud of her. Check out her myspace pages. www.myspace.com/ladyblake. And www.myspace.com/therealkalab. If you like them add her to your friends list. Send her a message that Kelly sent you.

Hey, I noticed you live in Texas. They are doin shows around Texas for a month or so before they go to Hawaii. I'm thinkin bout drivin down to see one of their shows. I'm more of a rock / metal guy, but they're good. I think her brother is thinkin bout hookin her up with a record deal.

I use to post my music here years ago and get HONEST feedback I didn't like.
Thats not the reason behind this, but your girl has no hope.

why do you think that, i'm actually curious, the music sounds like what i hear on the radio and at partys, in fact it's almost identicle with the exception of beat and words

    (Get Faded)
    Intro:
Broken glass sound effect into vocal.
Bass line that comes in is mastered terribly in fact not mastered at all.

"Get your party on" vocal is fine, BASS is NOT, and is the most important part.
Snare roll comes in at 14 secs which is actually a rap sample, not sure if she wasted time making it but there are sample packs every where with snare rolls like that.

Labels wan't unique sounds, not readily available sounds.
The formant or "chipmunk" voice needs to go between 18-25.
Keep her vocal and the males vocal, but realize someone is not mastering these sounds accurately.
The bass should be thick, heavy, and solid, the vocals should have a bit more air or reverb. The production (who ever is helping produce this track) is not doing their job.

Its ESPECIALLY important that rap sounds heavy and clean. Her vocals are NOT bad at all, but who ever is mastering this track simply blows. They are destroying the track.

It could even be her mic, but if you have samples of her vocals, and are really curious, I can show you how they should balance with the lower frequencies.

There also is no melody at all at this point, there is a weak unmastered bassline trying to drive the vocals.

As a friend, I'm sure you support her, but I can tell you we're not going to see her go mainstream any time soon with the current music or current look.

Bojangles has it right on the music critique...You either need to be really good looking and have a little talent, or be super talented and get by with mediocre looks...I don't think she falls into either category, but then again, I've never worked in that industry to fully understand the subtleties.

I just want to respond to daem by saying YES those are all important but the real problem here isn't talent. Not by the singer but the idiots the singer believed in.

Yeah, I'm sorry dude, but that was garbage.
I spent the first 3 minutes trying to figure out if it was a joke or not.
    I'm still not sure.

...To be fair let me add that I HATE that kind of music.
So maybe she's really good at it. But being really good at something that sucks, still sucks.

I'm old 35, lol, so I'm not really into that kinda of "hip-hop". Doesn't seem like the real thing I'm used to, but my kids (18, 14, 12) dug it! But your girl is definitely HOTT! And she is talented so she can go far. But I'm sure you know the entertainment industry is a tough racket. Good luck and I hope she does well.

I would like to reiterate though, she's FINE!! LOL!!!

Everything was impossible until somebody did it!

    I've got 99 problems......but my squat/dead ain't one !!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Great place to start researching ! http://forums.steroid.com/anabolic-s...-database.html

Dude your 60 how old? I'm glad your friends are famous K carrying pimps.

Why don't you try actually offering feedback on the track instead of talking about recreational drugs. Can't believe you'd even stoop that low.

Ya, I'm not into that kinda music either, but her cd sounds GREAT. I got a couple of rap cd's and it sounds just as good on my system as 50 cent. Definately agree with the chipmunk sound though. That shits gotta go for sure.
