I read these games are the same meaning you can use the same guitars for both RockBand and Guitar Hero, which guitar is best? I only played it on a Wii on Christmas and thought about getting it for my Xbox369.

depends, i play expert on guitar and i prefer the new guitar hero guitar, the rockband guitar had a nice solo pad but the strumming bar didn't feel right to me and i would miss 32nd and 64th note strums on it

you can play both games with any guitar i thought, i played rockband with a guitar hero 1 guitar and i worked fine, though maybe my friend moded it, idk

I've played both, and GHWT stomps RB2. Instrument wise and song wise.
Also with GHWT, you can go to the studio and create your own song! Pretty cool stuff
