Yea i dont like the new body style of the 5 series. The e39 is my fav and the 98 540i have the dual vanos system. So very torqueyyyy espesially 6spd.
I was gonna buy the m5 e39 but need money for some projects.

I thought about trading in the dsm and getting an evo. Instead kept the dsm and bought a bmw 528i sport. Now i'm torn between which one i like better.

They all have vanos but the 1998 540i had a diffrent engine in it. That was the most powerful 540i made in the e39 series.

right because our roads allow you to drive sooo fast....and if that superduty's 7.3 is tuned and has the six gun bundle then you wont hardly be able to out run it anyway, with at least 5.13 gears also...

hahahha so you can't drive fast but its perfectly legal to run cars over??? i like the logic here...

no way that truck will catch an evo. even stock they do a sub 5 0-60. for like 5 thousand you can push 750hp out of them. combine that with the awd and you have a very nice car

Nope the Vortech kit goes for about $4800-5200

Got mine for 2300 for being the first to donate my Jeep for a production kit

So $5200 + used 06-07 Jeep for 28,000 = 11 sec ride on street tires

Mines an 08 and even those are going for pretty good prices now

Vortech makes a kit for them now? Nice

11 seconds....Didn't know they went that fast because of their weight even with the supercharger.

You better keep the stock rims.... I love them....I want one, but I'm to poor.

    Yep Vortech is the first!

Yea they are no joke....13.2 stock and 11.57 with blower...for me atleast

Got two friends with heads/cam/headers/manifold AND Vortech blower....i'm thinking low 11's easy...oh and they both have nitrous plummed up too

Stock rims FTW! Grew outta big rims with the Chrysler...24's were crazy

I bet that thing sounds beastly. Jeep SRT8 with cams *drool*.

You had the Chrysler 300 SRT with 24's lol. Still probably quick even with them.

You said prices are going down on the Jeeps, but I still can't afford one.

Like Ford lightnings alot.... Might go with one of them. swap for a whipple supercharger and try to hang with your Srt8 lol.

Also really like STI's.... But don't think I can fit into one. Can't fit in a lot of sports cars.

I prefer to ride 'em old. I built this about 5 years ago. Currently disassembled for a rebuild. I hope to have her done in the next 30 days or so.
