Thread: Cool pic of Arnold Posing... Ostensibly a bad-ass pose but any underlying meaning??

    Cool pic of Arnold Posing... Ostensibly a bad-ass pose but any underlying meaning??

    Here's a kick-ass photo of Arnold performing a semi 3/4 side view with right arm fully extended at a 45 degree angle with open palm...

    I could be wrong but I'm assuming this was photographed circa early mid 70's however I could be wrong. Everyone knows the political turmoil going on during these times in Germany during Soviet-occupied East and US occupied West...

    I just can't help but to think if there was any socio-political subtle statement attempting to be made by Arnold in this pic, under the guise of a gorgeous pose all the in name of bodybuilding, shape and form, yet the true portrayal was anti-communist. We all know about Arnold's father's NSDAP ties and I think to myself this picture could have easily been used against him in anti-arnold rallies during his campaigning for the govenor of california. Or if the thought of this photograph ever entered his thoughts, perhaps wondering if it would ever be used as a tool to denounce or discredit him. I suppose I'm just shocked arnold would even assume such a political "sensitive" position, regardless of the photographers encouragements, considering his Austrian ties and fathers political prior affiliations.

    .. Or it could just be what it appears to be, a kick ass photo of arnold in his hayday... At any rate, who knows, I just thought it might be an interesting topic for discussion if anyone is interested.

    arnold was big on the straight arm , hand straightened poses - he used to do a single biclep looking up his other arm which was straightened just like in that pic. In fact in pumping iron he instructs a short amateur bodybuilder to do the exact pose im speaking of. I think its got no political significance - JMO....

    Very true... but we'll never quite know if the -very- initial concept of the pose originated in his mind from the Fuhrer's salute, will we?

    Unabhängig von ihrer rassistischen Ideologie und Kriegsverbrechen, die SS hatte einige der awesome militärischen einheitliche Kleidung in der Geschichte ..

    Yeah they were bad mothers thats for sure. I read a book that had a bio of every top SS officer. Some of these guys had so many campaigns under their belt they had not room left on their uniforms to signify them.
