Opinions Needed
I was wondering what you guys think of people that will swear on something to try to prove they are telling the truth.
examples
I swear on my dads life
I swear on my grandmas grave
things like that.
Personally I have found its because they are lying

i don't swear or anything, if i say something and someone says "that's bullshit" or something like that then i'll just reply "you can think what you want, i don't care either way" then continue on with the convo
if they have a problem with something i say why should i care, it's their problem

I have sworn on my mother's soul when i was frustrated and needed to get the point across

I can tell you that lying is all in the delivery. It takes a very careful placement of words and expressions to successfully deliver a lie and have be accepted by an intelligent person. It has nothing to do with what person you swear on. I could be serious. I could be lying. It would have nothing to do with who I was swearing on.

Eye movement/twitching. Small actions. Finger twitched. Itching the hands or palms. Sweating. Nearvous laughter. Lack of eye contact.
Most people when they lie usually dont have problems maintaining eye contact leading up to a lie but at the point of delivery will look down and away from you. If they can look you in the eye make sure youre STARING into their pupil, if they lie, sometimes it will dialate. Those are all things I look for. And gut feeling of course.

The easiest way to lie to someone is tell yourself that the the outcome, regardless of what youre lying about, has no consequence. Its easier to loosen up if you believe that it has no consequence at all wether you did or didnt beat the living shit out of someone when asked by police. I go with loose and fluid interaction when lying. But its key that I believe that what Im saying has no real world action or consequence to it.

I also look for speech to speed up or become nervous or forced.

Sounds like someone knows some of the piggys trick.
I've seen some fcuked up things my buddy had a gf that lied like crazy and one time he didn't believe her about something and they were fighting about it and she went to cut her wrist to prove she wasn't lying and guess what she was lying. She actually cut it alittle bit too

I also think that convincing yourself and lying to yourself, tricking yourself that your telling the truth works. There used to be this cab driver in my town who would tell me all sorts of crazy shit like how his aunt shot JFK, how Kelly Clarkson was his daughter, etc etc. If you were to hook him up to a polygraph test and ask him those questions, he would have passed with flying colors because he actually believed his own lies. Those kinds of people are scary because they don't even know when they're lying.
