    My dog ate his shit.. and keeps eating it.

    I was gonna post this tonight regardless but turned it into a bit of a parody cause of the other thread.

    I have a chocolate lab who LOVES poop. When I say loves poop I mean he likes it so much, that when hes finished crapping he will already be digging into a pile of yesterdays shit. (hanging from his mouth & the whole 9)

    I have never had a dog with this problem before. He prefers his own shit so I will try to keep him away from the backyard (where his own shit is) but then he goes crazy on our neighbors dogs poop. I tried spraying bitter apple on it and it has absolutely no effect. Its grosser than 2 girls 1 cup and I have to watch it at least once a day just so dudes understand.

    I'm losing my patience, I want to beat him in the face with a sock full of frozen shit but NOTHING seems to kill his urge. At first it was hard to get use to, I wondered wtf shit could taste like to even make this an issue, and now I still have no fvcking clue. Its gross, he will not stop, no matter what, no matter where, he will find it and have it in his mouth before I know anything.

    Is there anyway to solve this problem?

    Why do dogs (and other animals) eat poop?

    Many animals eat poop on a regular basis. These include rabbits, rodents, gorillas, many insects such as dung beetles and flies, and yes, dogs.     fvckn labs are so stupid. I let him out in my parents backyard once and when I took him home he vomited about 2lbs of mulch all over the kitchen floor (was eating their mulch) when I looked at how much came out and how big the pieces were I wanted to kill him for being so dumb..
