I'm guilty, in the sense that I never really stretch that much. Prior to cardio, I do, some times on leg day I do but It's never been a priority.
I've never hurt a muscle, if something hurts...that is not suppose to it's normally a joint (shoulder).
I've read a few articles that actually propose that stretching before lifting can actually cause injury easier. Not to the muscle but to the tendons you are stretching. For as long as I can remember I've always been told to stretch to avoid injury though.
I could see how stretching prior to a lift could cause some weakening of the tendon though.
Just curious to what others have found or how often you guys actually take the time to stretch.
