IMO! Just add food intake...
I'm afraid.
What the hell is that? Pig snouts?
there are entire classes of drugs that promote it, SSRI's and corticosteroids are two that i know of
ssri's are usualy anti-depressent meds with a weight gaining side effect..
gotta know though, why ask the question?? u need to gain weight??
if you do, get ur butt to the diet forum and post up a detailed diet
Can you be a lil more specific?
haha, ive been all over the site with my diet just posted it yesterday on the steroid Q&A, I'm going to the doctor to finally get my thyroid checked. i've been talking about it for a while but i havent followed through untill now. I was asking because my doctor is very straight to the point and i wanted to have a few things to bring to the table and ask him... Im exploring many different options [B]ALong with my diet[B] to help me boost gains because ive been doing this for so long lol....i assure you my diet is fine... i just need to add a few more calories in it and it will be ready to go...
A girlfriend or wife :\
If you live in certain areas (ie California), rabbit tobacco (another name for the herb we cannot discuss by name), can be perscribed to you for such purposes.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Wrong, they're not prescribed for weight again even as an off label use.
Zyprexa is sometimes given for anorexia but thats not to make the patient fat (even though it happens) its to deal with the anxiety inducing the anorexia.
And SSRIs ARE known for weight gain, in comparison to other meds however does it only become minimal (seroquel and such) But none of these drugs are traditionally presribed for a patient with weight defecits.
I still think a doctor would venture to prescribe blood tests first (YES! docs can presribe that too which they usually do first) then possibly GH but it all is dependent on the results of course.
edit: and if you need to know WHY a doc would never prescribe zyprexa or amitrip the obvious reason is diabetes.
The person asked what a doctor would "actually give"
