Obama, blahblahblah.
"Obama on this, Obama on that, Obama is the anti-christ, Obama is a Muslim, Obama is a Socialist, Obama..Obama..Obama.."
I don't get it. The guy hasn't been in long, and there is about 5 threads a day on how Obama is going to bring about the end of the world in some form or other. Can't the Republican Conservative Machine simply just accept that he won fair and square? He was in the right place at the right time. No one could stand Bush, so by proxy no one really wanted more of Bush in McCain. I mean do some of you people actually want him to fail? Do you actually want 25% unemployment just so you can say "Ha! I told you so!" Socialism seems to be the new buzzword as well. I guess being called a liberal is so 2007 now.
He's going to be around for the next 8 years. That's all there is to it. Endure it people.

He's only been in power for 2 months. He inherited quite a load, in a depression like economy, the Iraq and Afghan war as well as the weakened relationship that the Bush administration had with other countries. I mean did you expect him to pull out a magic rabbit out of the hat within two months?
In his two months however, he has signed the Lily Ledbetter legislation, authorized stem cell research, signed stimulus bill and announced a departure date from Iraq.
I am by no means an Obama fan, I think what America really needs is someone like Ron Paul as there is no real difference between republicans or democrats.
But hey, if we find out theres a asteroid heading for Earth in 2011, we'll try and find a way to hold Obama responsible.

I think it's more the other way around... I think if there was a magic cure for all disease discovered ...obama would get credit.

Sorry I couldnt have more right now. Have to split.

what kills me is the republicans who keep trashing him dont have any ideas of their own. the republican party is dying, that have no leader or potential leader, the religious right wont support a moderate cause they may not be a outspoken christian and believes in the right to choose. A moderate cant support a Jesus freak, cause, they cant even think clearly if its not in the bible then its not true. The republicans will be gone soon cause that cant accept anything thats different. But hey, they done it to theirselves.

none of there ideas get thru..ur girl nancy pelosi shoots it down...funny how just cause u have a liberal/social president you think the other party(republicans) are dying..congress has the lowest approval rating in the history of our country..hint..they make the laws....once they are gone, and we both know the republicans are getting the house back, we will see how much u like our president...bush second term he did nothing but battle congress.
republicans dont want him to fail, they just dont support all his policies...and you liberals do the same shit man, dont get all high and mighty

Rush Limbaugh once said, "In order to be successful, half the population has to hate you!". That's what's going on with Obama. He's only been in the White House for just over 60days. He's worked towards just about everything he said he'd do in the campaign. The thing is, he's the president, not a god or king. He has to convince Congress of his objectives and there are democrats that don't like all his policies.
People will dislike Obama regardless of his policies. Whoever thought ANY stimulus package would work in less than 2 months is simply not facing reality. Policy, good or bad, take time to work and the man did say that it would get worse before it got better. But I guess everyone, including the opposition, expected miracles from this guy. Thing is, that is not how government works. I try not to respond on the Obama hate threads because I know it will be quite some time (at least a yr or two) to see if any of the policies he's inacted actually worked.

We don't want Obama to fail, and we don't expect miracles...we just want him to stop doing all kinds of crazy quasi-euro-socialist shit.

Republican party is in complete dissarray. There is no denying that and unless they get their collective shit together...soon, they won't get anything back anytime soon. They have no leadership and their image is severly scarred.
As far as Congress being unpopular, it was before the elections as well, but we (Democrats) won even more seats in both houses. But while Congress enjoys dismal ratings, Obama continues to enjoy some the highest ratings for a president in history.

I see no difference in every other bush hating thread or article when he was in office. When someone is on top, they will be hated no matter what they do.

^^^100% agreed, Musclescience. It's human nature. People are always pissy when their side loses. Even if Obama was batting 1000% he'd have detracters.
Noomoto, I know you don't agree with his policies but you have to admit, he hasn't attempted to inact anything he didn't already talk about during the campaign.

you most certainly can complain about a guy who has not been in long. we all should not forget who was the leader of the liberals, howard dean, the guy is nuts...the repubs are in bad shape, due to the fact they have left there conservative base, but they are returning, and if they dont, so be it, gone should be the days of a 2 party system...
obama promised to put the best people in positions when running, that has not even come close, half of his nominees are backwards on taxes, and not one person should stand behind his choice for treasury....
the stimulus was bs, how many million to acorn, how many million to replace wooden boats in hawaii? cmon, they both ran on zero pork, this bill has more pork in it then a pig farm..wastefull spending at its best...
and one more thing...Nanci pelosi is the devil...
-

That's typical republican rhetoric about the stimulus package. Which package are you referring to, there were two. Did you not realize that almost half of the pork in the original package was from Republicans?
What does Howard Dean have to do with Obama? You're nitpicking and looking simply like a sore-loser. 2 months is hardly enough time for anyone to turn around this shit storm we are in. But again, complain away. For people like you, he'll never be successful. But that's the benefit of living in this great country. For eight years (under Bush), I was just like you. No matter what Bush did, it was wrong, IMO. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

way off man..
bush didnt run on no pork, obama did....bush was a mess his second term..but when you campaign for a year saying there will be no pork, in all 3 debates it was stated, and it is loaded with pork, there is a problem..u have to learn to admitt wrong doing by "your boy", i do.
and where did is say we can attack him for not turning it around already, it will take time, but we can get pissed about who he put in positions, they are not the most qualified, again, look at treasury...
and i have read ur posts, we have never been alike, and never will be...
admit acorn is a racially motivated group that got a ton of pork money for helpinging obama get elected, if not please explain why they continue getting federal money and why its right...

!st do you honestly believe that no package would pass without pork? It hasn't been done before and it will be a task for it to happen in the future. Obama claimed he would try to stamp out pork, and it cannot be expected that he could do it in his 1st couple months. Washington is still Washington and it'll take more than the election of a young, charismatic politician to change their ways. Second, the ACORN argument continues to be weak. Obama recieved more white vote than any Democratic candidate in history, he also received more middle class suport and young support as well. Do you think that those poor minorities that ACORN benefits would have voted for McCain, or any other republican?
But that's besides the point. Check what ACORN "could" be eligible for under that package. It can be argued that it's not necessarily pork. Republicans are up in arms about ACORN simply because they have a tradition of supporting Democratic candidates, nothing more. If it was money for Focus on the Family or the Heritage Foundation (both of which recieved money during the Bush administration), they would not have an issue.

did he have to sign the stimulus? yes he did...
say when ur guy is wrong, he messed up and u people that will always defend him, u loose credit..
did he say he would put best people possible in position? yes he did, and 3 have had tax problems, one stepped down, and the guy running the treasury will be obama downfall..
and acorn, well they had there main office raided by FBI and found thousands of voters fraud, have also been linked to bill ayers who is a terrorist. its not republican bs, it is fact..

^^^I never said it was republican bs, I said it was republican rhetoric. There is a difference. Obama did say he would stop pork, but if you think he would be able to do so in his first year, then you haven't a clue about how politics works.
As far as the comment about Rev. Wright, I'm not going to stoop as low as you and attempt to let this deteriorate into a race thread. It doesn't apply to this thread and I fail to see why you even had to go there.
Vague? I think everything I posted was backed with concrete proof (ie the news report I posted), but if you consider that vague, so be it. Enjoy the next 8yrs dude!!!
