Airsoft Guns
So...I need to kill some crows, as they are attacking my pets when I take them out in the yard. They steal food and such and such. I figure an Airsoft gun would be a great solution.
Any suggestions?

Ya, They can get pretty expensive! I would just get a simple pellet gun, they have a higher f.p.s. too.

Haha, no way man bad idea, I have a M15A4 full auto.
Paid $475 for it, the impact it is not enough to kill anything, maybe a mouse if you got a headshot but they are not that accurate either. You would be better off buying a pellet or BB gun.

Go to academy sports and outdoors. Buy a pellet gun for 40 bucks stop by the gas station and pick up a 12 pack of natural lights.. Grab a lawn chain, sit down and let the fun begin ! !

Try to find one of those old school pump type pellet guns. Their strong enough to kill small furry/ feathered creatures.

a $30 red rider bb gun works just fine. My sons shoot crows and pigeons on a daily basis with it and it works great!!!

those airsoft grenade launchers are crazy...and they don't feel too great either LOL. You can make an airsoft gun shoot 500+ fps. the one i linked to says it shoots 400 but a friend of mine got it and it shot like 450fps and hurt like hell.

go get a paintball gun the freeze the paintballs, then crank up the fps, it'll kill them

You will need a pellet gun. My .177 Pellet rifle fires at 500 fps, and will rip through birds easily.
This is what I have, Crossman 1077, only mine has a scope. It's a C02 powered repeater, plus they are really cheap to buy, and after 5-6 years I have never had a problem with it.

Why not just man up and buy a real gun?

That's why they invented silencers and subsonic ammo.
You should stay away from real guns, because; a) I don't think you know jack, and b) you're the kid who loses his temper over an old man telling you to stop dropping the weights (i.e., your "Kicked out of the gym" thread).
As such, I could care less about your "Gun Control" thread.

Nice to know you have a hard on for me now, you going to follow me around the forum and make posts like this? Wipe the sweat off your forehead, chief.
1. You just told me to buy a gun, now you're saying I should stay away from real guns.
2. What you think is irrelevant. My parents were both Special Agents, I've been around guns all my life, including fully automatic weapons.
3. I didn't lose my temper. Me losing my temper would've resulted in him getting his ass beat, and me going to jail...rather than me walking out of the gym and going home.
Anyway...yeah I'm gonna go to Sports Authority today and find myself a pump or co2 pellet gun.Last edited by Nooomoto; 04-18-2009 at 11:04 AM.

What sort of pets do you have that are being attacked by birds?Looking at your avi ( love it btw, I have an english bull, great dog) it can't be a dog.
As for airsoft they're not very accurate in my experiance and i have been shot on the bare leg from 4 feet with a fully automatic M4 airsoft rifle.Stung like hell and left little red bumps but i couldn't see you killing anything with one.Unless you threw it at the bird of snuck up behind it and hit them with the butt of the gun.

I would never buy a gun, making your own homemade explosives is SO MUCH more fun.

And for the record, we tried killing a tiny house mouse with a pellet gun and it did not work as well as planned.
I hate killing anything, so when it took about 30 shots to stop moving I felt real bad.
Get something more powerful, maybe bb guns do a better job.

Special Agents?!? Darn, you should just have mommy & daddy contract a few squirrels via a dead drop in the park. They should be able to take care of those pesky crows.
So, just to get the facts straight...
You're a killer with an encyclopedic knowledge of guns, including fully automatic weapons, but you lack knowledge of either airsoft or pellet guns? Riiiiiiiiiight.
BTW, don't tell your uncle (I'm guessing he's the Director of Operations over at the Hoov) or your brother Jason Bourne on me. Oh and sorry about the hard-on and perspiration...BritishColumbian told me it took 9 inches to make him bleed, so we played "drop the soap San Quentin style" 3 times, then I punched him in the mouth. Whew! I'm sweating again...
