Fixing Shaker Cups
so like ALL of my shaker cups leak now....and i'm not buying new ones....they used to be free every order where i order supps up until about 6 months ago...
so i'm thinking either use like caulk....or some sort of sealant in the lids where the original seal was........
any thoughts as to whether this would work or not?

I used to go to the hardware/industrial supply store and hunt around until I found some "o"-rings that would fit inside the sealing area of the screw on top. They aren't made from food-grade material however. It works for awhile, but eventually they leak again. I think hand washing them makes them last longer than anything.

You can get silicone or Viton elastomer ring material at most industrial supply stores. Viton has been found to be non-toxic to organisms in salt water applications.

The Wal-Marts here shift their merchandise around on a regular basis. Guess it gives the craptacular products that doesn't move at a high volume a better chance to sell.

Check out any sports stores in a mall near you. I think Dicks sporting good sells them also. I had a GNC one that lasted me about a year until I dropped it full of a chocolate shake... It exploded all over my kitchen and walls.

don't be silly and buy the tape or silicone more than what it would cost u for brand new bottle.
I had the same problem with the the mixer i have, i accidentaly dropped it on the floor it got broken from the top head where it connects with the second part so i taped it with the dock tape. now it works much better than before.
