good call, never really thought of that.. although the chances of them selling them arent they just repeatedly beaten up? obviously it depends on the treadmill itself and what condition it is.. ill give it a shot but im sure i culd find a good one between that price range.. its gnna be a birthday gift

you better of looking for a good used tread for that price then a new one at that price. All the new ones in that range are garbage

yeah we have 2 in my basement, one was a cheap one (well 700-800) and its AWFUL. its stuck on an incline, so after half a mile at 10mph i am DEAD, when i can run that speed for an hour on the track. the other one was like low 2gs and is much bigger but a lot nicer. the cheap one also isn't very sturdy, so to speak, so when you push off while running at slow speeds it will really pull the belt backwards, so the speed isn't very accurate.

Yep costco does have decent makes cheap.
Craiglist and ebay would prob be best to get a used one locally.
Orrrr, you can do what I do and we have a tread mill in our house + a full gym. Which is take it for granted and use the street.

I just run in place. If i want a change, i do it in the tub with the shower on. Its liek running in the rain.

I bought a used treadmill that I found on Craigslist and I really enjoy it. I can do AM cardio without having to drive to the gym. I can run for 30 minutes at the end of the day etc etc. The one I got retails for 2k and I got it for $400 from a couple that confessed that they each used it ONCE! ha ha

Star Trac is one of the better built commercial grade treadmills. Unfortunately, their price reflects this.
