St. Pierre would murder them both, is Silva going to fight St. Pierre? He cut down to 180 and if he gets in the 170's (with the win he had at the last UFC) he can fight GSP.

Dont care to much for either fighter.... would not count Serra out though.

Serra is far tougher than he gets credit for and Hughes is so one dimensional. If Serra can keep it standing he'll win

serra caught him no doubt. Needless to say GSP got his revenge

GSP legs and lower body exploded after his loss to Serra, the next time he fought Serra it was absolute murder. I am fairly sure he juiced, his thighs just exploded and his ground game got a lot better from the first Serra fight (If I remember correctly, lol it was a while ago for me to remember)

hughes will grind out a three round decision. His bjj is good enough not to get swept or submitted. He is the much better wrestler, athlete(strength and cardio) and that is why he will win on a decision.

I guess there is no such thing as a weight class anymore. Does this mean Mir can fight for the welteriweight belt also? Or does he just have to get within 9 pounds of a weight class to fight.
And I'm sorry but just a few fights back silva fought at205.
Makes no since.

also if anderson silva got thrown in with a top condening 205lb fighter somebody who has good hands and long reach IMO he will be done for ex: rampage would hurt him but yes you do have to be within 9lbs. move a weight class

Yeah there are weight classes obiviously you don't both have to be 170lbs dry to fight, it isn't high school wrestling lol. You just have to be within the 9lbs.
Alot of people want to see Silva and GSP fight, it would bring UFC alot of money/attention and they realize that. Hence why GSP was at Silva's fight last week (UFC 97).
I still think GSP would beat Silva, his last fight Silva didn't use the ground at all and with GSP once he gets you on the ground you better be able to defend yourself or else its over. Ask Penn about it
Just my 2 cents.

you are my hero prone, I want to try that cycle as well. Serra vs Hughes has lost it's luster due to time but it should be a competitive grudge match. Any bets?

Hughes. I wrestled him a few times back in the day. For his size his strength is unreal. At the time he was 160, but could easily throw around guys 30-40 pounds heavier.

the only way I see Hughes winning is a grinding decision. Even if he can get him down I don't think he can do anything
