Hmm, I've actually never seen anything like that. It doesn't mean it doens't exist. The car you're driving doesn't have A/C at all or is it broken?

nothing exists as a true a/c unit that will run off 12v dc
you could buy one of these but it's just a cooler full of ice and a fan

The evaporative cooling units aren't true A/C and will not work well in the philly sometimes humid climate.

hahaha, I was gonna say drop a boat portable A/C through the sunroof if you have one...but then I looked it up and did the power conversion, and it'd be like 60 or more amps using a power inverter for a small one. Most alternators aren't that big. And they aren't cheap anyway.
Buy a new car DSM, it's far too hot if phila.

I Love the reviews :
I tell ya folks, my scrotum has never smelled so good. I think we can all agree that nothing's worse than a wet, smelly, grimy sack. My wife's always telling me that one whiff of the foul thing could knock the Terminator off of a manure truck. Well, thanks to this Balla stuff, I've got my act together. I just dump on a nice, heapin' helping and work it into a nice paste, and I'm as clean and soft as a spring breeze. The wife digs it too. Sometimes I plop my ol' fella onto the dining room table just to freshen the room up a bit. A great investment, I highly recommend buying it. You'd have to be NUTS not to.
Guess these guys never heard of taking a f***king shower.

Hang your head out the window like a dog
the ice chest thing doesn't seem to work.
reviews on people who buy the fans for ice coolers.
My experience with this unit is as follows: Purchased this unit and an Igloo cooler. Filled the ice chest approximately 3/4-full with ice. Placed in a pickup truck cab (Ford F-250 SuperDuty with SuperCab) that was pre-cooled with the air conditioner for ~30 minutes on an 80 degree day. Parked the truck in the shade and connected the unit to the aux power source in the cab. Allowed the unit 30 minutes run time. At the end of that time the temperature in the cab was equal to outside ambient conditions. There was no cooling, nor maintaining temperature inside the cab. Granted I opened the door to exit the truck, but the unit was unable to provide ANY appreciable cooling to the truck interior in 30 minutes.
You might as well put a tray of ice in front of a fan before wasting your money on this.
Does not work, tested it in our vehicle. it was warmer inside the truck than outside!
Don't waste your money!
I tested it.. first I set my tent up in my attic, about 83 degrees, I filled my cooler, colman 28 qt (the webpage recommends this one or the igloo) with frozen bottles of water, let the fan run for two hours, temp. dropped a wrooping 3 degrees, than my attic cool down and the temp. in the tent was warmer than in my attic. furthermore since the air temp was quite warm and the fan was blowing this air over the ice, the ice was melting quickly.
I bought this item because my a/c was out on my car and it was going to cost $1200 to fix. I was under the impression it could cool a small car, Honda Civic. It is a joke. Yes, it blows cold air, but through a circle about the size of an orange. If you purchase ice, you'll have paid for a real a/c in no time. If you freeze ice, you need a separate freezer to accomodate the large quantities of ice needed.
Doesn't sound good for the ice method
Maybe a 12v fan would help a bit. If you bring an ice cooler, you could wrap a towel in ice and put around your neck.
Tell your boss the truck sucks, and it's too fvcking hot for this bullcrap, and he needs to get a new truck. Plan on having some nasty swamp ass and ass crack sweat going all summer, smelling like brie/sukang paombong.

yeah, but in a truck or closed enviroment you'd need to keep a window open cause the humidity would rise as the water evaporates. They only work really well in the desert or where humidity is below 30%. I would say it doesn't make enough of a difference in philly to justify the expense.
