I can't really answer this question as lots of music I listen to is from artists who started in the 90's and still make to this day....But I'm gonna go with present. I don't listen to mainstream shit though, if we're going by "pop" then 70's for sure with zeppeling and all that shit, and the 80's had it's moments. But for what I listen to...present.

PS "Rap" or whatever the hell that shit they play everywhere shouldn't even be allowed to be called music. Music is art. that shit is business, and a shitty one at that.

current shit on the radio is recycled crap. The worst is that Flow Rider song that they play every third song on the radio. Heard it twice during a 1 hour work out yesterday.

to hard to choose between 70's 80's and 90's. Too much great shit from all those decades.

You're not listening with an open ear. Hip Hop, like all genres of music, has some good stuff and a lot of crap. I'm not a big fan myself, but this gereralization is pretty ignorant.

Did you read my post? I said the shit they play everywhere. Radio "rap" or whatever the hell you want to call it is garbage. I said nothing about hip hop or actual artists in the genre.

Word...Big AIC fan. White Zombie, Pantera...a lot of good music came out of the 90's.

Never really got into NIN or Nirvana though. Trent Reznor's family lives about 20 mins from me.
