I figured everyone heard.
Basicly, Perez (SP?) Hilton was a judge for the contest, and he got to ask a question:
About same sex marriage.
She stated, that in her country, and family, marriage is for a man, and woman only.
She has been in the news, and on shows talking about it over the past week.
Not a huge deal, just not a typical statement made in a pagent where people try there best NOT to answer a touch question.
It's brought the same sex marriage subject into debate a lot, and she is standing behind what she said.

I don't see the big deal, she is not THAT hot. Yeah she looked great on stage with a bunch of make up, professionally done hair and plastic surgery (including her tits that the pageant paid for). But when she is doing an interview or at a press conference for her anti-gay message, she looks like a regular hot blonde.
Maybe its because I live in Florida, but I see tons of bitches that are hot as her or even hotter daily.

i agree, positive discrimination is worse because its presumtion of discrimination itself.
im not gay so i dont care at all about gay rights....but gay people dont have to care for the way i live either.
i couldnt care less about gay people, its not a big deal anymore but on the same note why do people HAVE to agree?unless she is going around killing gay people why would anyone care???
practically every religion on the planet has been saying the same as her for centuries....................who has made a big deal of that?
idiot people!!!

I think it's a complex argument, and both sides make valid points.
Marriage is mostly a christian sacrament, or a out of religion, the state plays a part in it as the law and benefits change for single or married couples.
On one hand you have gays wanting equal rights, fair enough.
On the other hand you have Christan trying to hold on to there religious values.
I will stir the pot a little further......
The most common analogy or argument is the same was done to blacks in the past, now it's being done to gays.
Homosexuals may be born being attracted to the same sex, maybe they found out later, they feel there rights are being denied, similar to that of black couples many years ago.
Sex offenders, obviously are attracted to younger individuals. How long until they want equal rights? They cannot help who they are attracted to?
Point being, when does it stop? In 70 years will we be in shock that we use to put a man in jail if he had sex with a 15 year old girl? Because we would have killed a black man 70 years ago for having sex with a white girl.
Also, in the same note, strait people don't take the sacristan of marriage seriously anymore anyway. the divorce rate is outrageous, it certainly does not carry the weight it once did.
I don't really care either way, I don't think much about marriage, but I can understand the points each side make.
As for Perez Hilton, he is the worse possible spokesman for gay rights. That's like having lil wayne or 50 cent being a spokesman for the NAACP.

You can argue either way but she gave her opinion and now the gay rights assholes are trying to rip her to shreds. Pisses me off.
