I got my letter for jury duty but since I was in Iraq at the time, my co would not give me time off for it. I would have been happy to go at that time.

Just say you are a racist,in to sectarianism who is also sexist and homophobic, you would always convict someone of a different race/religion and never a person of your own race/religion.Problem fixed.

I understand not wanting to serve on a jury and particularly not having to associate yourself with such a screwed up system.
However, i have seen people convicted by non-thinking morons and after they voted for conviction one of the jurors told me that he voted to convict because everyone else wanted to and he wanted to go home. So someone's life got screwed up so a fat-assed moron could go home, sit in front of the boob tube and stuff food in his face.
The jury pool needs people who understand what a "fully informed" juror is, so that the people can enjoy freedom from unjust laws. The judges "fix" the system, but a "fully informed" juror knows how to play the game, so that the people win and justice prevails.
The reason the system is broken is because citizens either don't care or don't understand how they can really affect the system. When you let the sheep-le run the system, how can you expect it serve justice?
Freedom is not free and someone has to pay the price. The reason that the system is broken now is that not enough people are willing to do their duty and stand up for their country. The jury pool is a primary place where justice can be served if you are willing to do your duty.Last edited by JimInAK; 05-14-2009 at 02:57 AM. Reason: mispelling
