    Penn got 125,000 even though he lost and would have gotten 250,000 if you won.

    True, I mean hell, if you put Barry Bonds in the octagon to fight Brock Lesnar, even UFC would pay him 200,000 just for that. Boxing is a dieing sport in terms of popularity, UFC will be big.

    It's all publicity and negotiating, Canseco isn't dumb he knew him fighting would bring alot of media attention and money for that match so he wasn't going to settle for 50,000.

    It's all about "media publicity", how much did Kimbo get for fighting that dude with the messed up infected ear? Alot of money and it was on CBS during primetime.

    I saw it. It was a spectacle to earn Canseco a few more $. Ever since Pride and K-1 have gone tits up, Japan has lost all respectability for hosting fights. Japanese will pay through the nose for the next big spectacle, because they have the attention span of a wounded ferret on crack.
