Back to school in Networking Security my class is empty???
I first got into computers back in 1997 where i studied at a college to get a network administration and implementation degree.
I have 12 years of experience in the field but has a computer techicien, i also have decent network skills.
I got layed off last month and decided to go back to school to get up to date in the new technologies and network security and more.
Back in 1997 at the college we where 3 classes of around 20-25 students each.
I have gone back to the same school and i am almost alone in the class???? we are a total of 4 people studying networking and around 15 that are studying computer programming?.
I spoke to many people at the school and they say that network classes are very slow going, and have been for a few years now.
I guess that what they say in a few years there are going to be a huge demand for network admin, now i wonder why people stop taking theses classes?
Good news for me i guess, now i am pertty sure to find a job after i finish my little update.

Are you taking this in a summer session?
summer sessions have notoriously low enrollment.

No there is no session there, its a bit of do it on your own type of class, you have the books, the hard disk, the softwares and the projects.
You enroll whenever you want too, at the school there are accounting, nurse man lots of them like close to 150 divided in 5 classes packed, networking and computer programming.
So no its not a summer class at all, really networking is downfall

its cus degrees in this field still don't matter much. My EXPIRED CCNP tops your degree when you add the 10 years of exp with it... just how it works.
