american staffy

i want an american staffy... i live in queensland and im chasing a breeder in australia.. is there anything to look for when buying this particular breed? any genetic problems that i should be lookng for? thanks guys...

Look for and ask about skin problems with the parents, ie allergies that manifest as skin problems. Ask about knee/ acl problems with the parents: These are very powerful dogs that can damage their connective tissues when putting that power to the ground. Some are prone to problems others are not.
Also check out the parents temperament, they are all similar in many ways. However some can be more affectionate than others and some are more mindful (cautious) and inquisitive. They all are stubborn as hell and will love you unconditionally (to the point of being up you ass all the time) lol I hope you’re ready.

Oh yeah, one other thing, THEY HAVE to HAVE exercise daily. And lots of it. If they don’t get it they’re going to have to release some energy somehow, for example- chewing through__________.
