What is some good OCD medication?
I for the first time in my life last night had an ephinany and realized how ****ed up my mind is.
My OCD has gotten so bad I don't even notice the rituals or complusions any more and think its so normal that other people must do it.
Like my OCD isn't something physical, it isn't I have to wash my hands or call my friends 3 times a day or eat everything with my left hand, etc.
Mine are in my head they are more mental rituals about certain thoughts I have ranging from sex to seeing a hot girl to tasks to just random thoughts and I have to recite them or have them go through certain rituals in an odd number format till I reach a complete number like 33 or 5 or 13 and than compelte the thought or else I think it will hurt me or some dumb shit.
Now I do all these in my head and if you saw me doing it you wouldnt think I was doing anything as I can multiple task while doing it.
So basically I need stuff that will not trigger aniexty which in turn triggers my OCD, I just want some piece in my mind it feels like my mind is always racing or there is a commotion in my head wether its the anxiety, depression, OCD, or body image disorder.

For OCD therapy is one of the best things you can get, honestly I've seen a lot of people treated through therapy alone rather than medications.

How would you treat this though? It isn't a physical OCD.
Like I said I cannot explain this rituals to you there so complex and not even "describale" in words, like just thinking about describing them makes me realize just how stupid I am for doing this crap, but like I said I have been doing it since I was a kid so by now I just work around it.
Like I feel like the only thing a doctor can tell me is try not too the rituals which I turn my response will be "No shit sherlock thank god we have you here"

Even though your rituals aren't physical it's mental therapy that can help you stop thinking about the things that trigger your OCD. There is a new show on the learning channel, I believe its called "obsessed" and it's about treatment for people who have all different types of OCD.

Yeah I watched that show, like a mom was afarid to drive on the highway and asked her kids if they had there seatbelts on like 10000 times or that woman who was afarid of knifes or some shit.
Like that shit isnt me, I am not that severe I keep my thoughts inside my head and it happense everyday and most of the times its quick and i dont even stop and think "OMG ITS MY OCD" just go with the flow.
LOL it isnt that big of a deal, like I said I have had the problem since I was a kid (3rd grade) hell it was alot better than when I was 13 and walked around saying random numbers over and over again lol my relatives still bring that up from time to time.
I mean it doesnt inteferre with my life that much, but I just want it to go away like I said my mind is always racing or busy and I just want calmness like to have time where there are no thoughts in my head besides what is needed.

You need an outlet, something that tires your brain.

This can be trouble some but easily explained .
The computers in the matrix are sending signal's to your brain . The number's you think you are seeing are events in your mind . You are dormant in a enclosed capsule. The thing you believe to be ocd is recurrence of daily tasks being repeated until you no longer provide energy for the matrix . You are working very well . Do not pursue this any further .

At least they're not meds.
-
06-24-2009, 07:48 AM #32
there are meds that can help...zoloft, prozac, luvox, Anafranil and a few others
you need to go see someone about the problem before it takes over your life.
the medications are not a cure but rather an aid to reduce stress along with therapy
the therapy pretty much consists of forcing you to push through and not do the rituals no matter how much you want to. eventually, the urge won't be as strong...but you need to see a pro on this. Don't wait, make an appointment.

I believe that we all have a little form of OCD...But when we start doing what your takin about it will so become a physical thing and not just a mental thing.
It is a bid bonus that you relize the problem in advance...
You need to see a therpist and explain in detail what is going through your mind so they can go from there.
Make sure you let them know if they are not able to treat this properly to refer you to someone that can .
It is there responsibility to get you the treatment you need.
