How do I find a bodybuilding coach?
I'm an aspiring bodybuilder, and I recently found out everyone and their brother who I'm competing against has a Coach/Nutritionist. How the hell do I go about finding one?? Its not something easy to find, I've looked. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I would find out which NPC competitors are in your area, or look for a local show. You should be able to find someone there, or at least someone will be able to put you in the right direction.

Sometimes before Bodybuilding shows they have seminars . Arnold Classic and such . Seems like if you put word out at local gym people will know. You are potential business and people should have some idea . Gyms around Detriot all have pictures of members that compete . It's advertisement for there gym also .

Congratulations on being an "aspiring bodybuilder." We're all very happy for you! Your parents must be very proud! Now could you please explain to us just what do you mean by that you're an "aspiring bodybuilder?"
What are your current stats? What's your diet like? How long have you been training and how long have you been training seriously? Have you participated in any shows yet? If so, what?
Now where would you like to go in bodybuilding? What level of competition would you like to eventually participate in?
The fact of the matter is that if you've been training seriously for years and is absolutely jacked, you'll have hard a time finding coaching worth your $ and in fact more knowledgeable than yourself. The trainers at 24 hour fitness and bally's won't cut it. Likewise, if you have very little experience, you will likely be much better off just doing some research and reading on your own for now!

Nice. Thanks for the sarcasm bud. Anyways if you need to know, I'm 5'10,230lbs. Low bodyfat. My diet is perfect, I've been training about 4 years VERY seriously. I'm 23 years old. I will be competing in a few NPC events this year and the plan is to get my pro card eventually. You were actually right when you said I would have a hard time finding someone worth the money...That's the problem.........I have a ton of potential and it would be a little easier for me to reach my goals if I had someone to REALLY help me with the things I have trouble with...I believe I found an IFBB Pro in the area, but who knows how much he will be...ugghhh

start hanging out with the pro's, start with the arnold classic and see if you can strike up some convo with some pro's. Nobody on these boards is going to hand out info like them. I trained with some hardcore powerlifters. What they taught me about form, full range of motion, periodazation, and how to truly lift for strength. They made me perfect my craft. I emailed one of the guys (which held the world record for bench press 1006lbs or some shit) He was so nice to let me drive down to his gym and show me how to train for strength. They showed me shit I could of never learned on the internet.
