trip with wife...need help
I return from Iraq sometime in October, I really would like to take a trip with my wife since she has been amazing to me while i have been gone. and to just spend time with her after being gone for 16 months.
Does anybody have any good ideas of places that are fun or great for couples in the months of October or November..
I heard that the Bahamas and islands are cheap that time of year and its still warm there to enjoy it.. but does anybody know or been any where that time of year to help me out?

Took a cruise down to Mexico last December. Weather was pretty nice, mid 70's to low 80's. I never figured I would like a cruise, but you will never be treated better anywhere else. They make you feel like a King!

Cruise's are a great thing if she like them . And even better if she has never been.
Ive been on a couple. Food is included. And if you get smashed no driving drunk. Restraunts open all night aswell as club and gyms all in walking distance.
And you can choose your destinations. I perfer the cruises that only go to 1 destination because you have so much more time to site see.
All in all lots of fun. 100% of your time can be devoted to your wife once your on board.
I think you would both love a cruise.
Hell there cheaper than alot of vacations now.

Leaving on a cruise tomorrow which is our fifth one. It is great if you want some alone time without anyone to bother you. You can see various ports and do as little or as much as you want. I know Carnival is supposed to give really good military discounts so you may want to check them out.
Thank you for your service and all you have done!

I think cruises are great, they are cheap during October and all the food you could ever want to eat is included. Try looking at Carnival they run wicked sales for those months...like last year I went for a 4 day 3 night cruise and it was only $129

Mal Pais, Costa Rica. Its on the west coast on the Nicoya Peninsula. Its off the beaten path. Only one main road through the whole town. Very romantic. Even though its a small town, there is lots to do. Accomodations range from $40-50 american/night to anything you are comfortable spending.
The wife and I honeymooned there. ONce you visit, you will be hooked. Look it up. Malpais.net is one of many sites. I plan on going back very soon. Enjoy!

Good for you two. I hope you have a great time getting to know each other again.
I have only been on one so I don't know which cruise line is the best. But, we went on Royal Caribbean and had the time of our lives.

Go on a cruise together! It's relaxing, great atmosphere, and the food is usually amazing. Plus there are plenty of activities to do if you want to or you can just lay around the pools and have drinks and relax. You two are going to have a lot of catching up to do and it's going to take time to get reacquainted to one another. Don't get frustrated if things don't pop right back to normal for you, it's a process and it's not always an easy one. The best thing to do is go somewhere that you can have plenty of privacy to talk and plenty of time to relax.
I'm in Hawaii right now and it's beautiful here, but the Four Seasons resort is busy and there's so much shit going on it's not all that private. In comparison, I would stick with the cruise and enjoy. Glad you made it back safely and that your wife stood by you during your absence. Sounds like you have a good one. Good luck!

I can't believe people like cuises, the rooms are tiny, you have to pay for shi.t like drinks(which really adds up), its expensive and worst of all its a god dam tourist trap everytime you get off the ship. These people from the caribbean deep down inside just look at us (especially American's but also including me a Canadian) nothing but rich white gringo's. They charge these outrages prices for junk and force it on you. I would say take your wife to somewhere in your own dam country. America is a beautiful place and including Canada.

Keep in mind: September through November is Hurricane season and most of the Islands including much of Mexico get hit with very poor weather around that time. My friend booked a trip to Mexico last year and a Hurricane ended up hitting two days before they were supposed to leave.
