Who is a bigger slob? you....or the girlfried/wife???
going to assume, on this board, probably most of you are pretty tidy, driven individuals. There are probably a few slobs as well
I work a lot in the summer, I pay all the bills, phones, cable, internet, gas, electric, insurance. I paid the house off, vehicles are paid off, but I insure them through my company, so it's free.
Just had a talk with the girl friend today, I don't mind doing everything I do, but I come home on lunch break, I don't want to have to load the dish washer, vacuum the carpets and do laundry.
Hoping the message gets across! The girl spends so much time looking pretty, but she just does not seem to care if she is surrounded by filth and clutter.
Hope I'm not being too finicky or picky, I don't need perfection, just "picked up" works for me. No sink full of dishes and cereal bowls on the end tables works!

Slaughter her. Or polish maids are like .50cents a week.

I am a neat freak - my two room-mates on the other hand... they do OK. I pretty much wash all the dishes in the house and take over the kitchen. Hell, I should just move my room there.

I just think if the woman isn't working then the house should be clean and dinner should be cooked, I guess that's just how I was raised but I've always worked and kept the house clean and made the dinner...superwoman!

My mom raised us 6 kids, worked as a substitute teacher and kept the house clean. Jmo that a woman should only work A) if she wants to or B) if she has to cause of finicial reasons. Its the husbands job to provide for his family but that was just the way I was raised.

I hate to sound old fastioned, but I agree with you.
There are certain things that fall under my responsibilty I feel. I do make a lot more money, so I don't mind paying the bills.
The fridge took a crap 3 weeks ago, and I feel because a fridge weighs 300lbs, it's under my umbrella of responsibilities to buy, and bring a new one in. I just replaced the windows (tax credit yay!), I just remodeled the bathroom late last winter, keep the drive and side walks clear of snow in the winter. Those are all jobs a woman could do, but it's easier for me to do, than a 120lb girl who is just not mechanically or structurally inclined.
A girl, can easily clean better or at least just as good as me.
I hope that does not make me sound like I'm trying to oppress women and keep them in the kitchen or anything. I just feel there are duties that suit each gender better.

Dude you need to say something, id be pi**ed off. I have always be brought up to my mother cooking cleaning and taking care of the house and working hours which suite her best. While my dad would work his bones into the ground.
The world today puts woman on the same plate as a man and i can understand there ideas but when a man is working and bringing in the $$$ its up to the woman to provide a cooked meal and clean living area.
Or you could just get a cleaner and save yourself an argument haha

I'm the neat one in the family. Wife won't do laundry until it's piled all over the floor. Pisses me OFF! But the last year I've been living single & apreciate living clean!!

My S.O. is the slob.
I grew up in a house full of independent chicks... so I've always had to pull my weight, and more.
I cook well, and I like to keep around me clutter-free.
My chick just likes to drop shit everywhere.
It pisses me off.
