In Florida, its a mandatory 3 year sentence with a maximum of 15 years.

dumbasses, you don't take a center console and make a b-line from mexico.
you take a sailboat and fill the keel so it's sealed from the rest of the boat. And you take a very round about route sailing north in international waters and then cross into US waters on a southward course.

I think they under value street drugs value. $600 a lb.

They were probably just getting a transport cost though, I doubt they put up 400k to buy the drugs, bring them to the US, break them down, and sell them.

well when you buy that much pot you arent going to pay the "street price", 600 is about right.
