Amateur Competitions

As of now I'm only 21 (5'8''/184lb) and need to do some more work to get where I want to be. Though I doubt I'll ever be where I want to be haha... But I was wondering if anyone knew of 'beginner' competitions that take place on the east coast from time to time (I live in NJ), or has any advice on where to start exactly. I obviously have more training to do, but I figure even if I just attend some competitions and see how they are run I'll be moving on my way towards them.

FYI - The Competition Q&A has 2 people viewing. Hopefully this doesn't seem like it's in the completely wrong place.

Forgot to mention - I'm natty, never used a cycle. Not sure if that means anything to anyone regarding which competitions or anything.

Look up the NPC show schedule for your area. They have several natural shows.

woah woah! "Natural shows"? is there a such thing a "non natural shows"?

I just never thought that would be a factor in a competition when steroids are illegal.

Natural Show=Bbers who can only afford basic aas.
NPC Shows=Bbers who can afford more exotic aas.
Sure there maybe that 1% of all real natty bbers who compete, im talking about the mainstream and of course majority of each. Only difference is natty are tested, ever hear of short esters?

Speak for yourself, simply not true. Also, NPC has several natural/tested shows.

some natty shows do polygraph tests too.

npc eastern usa bodybuilding comp is coming up in nov. should go just to watch if youve never been to a comp.

Thanks man, exactly what I was looking for.

I realize this probably seemed like a dumb question - I just was unsure about the testing and everything and figured for my first competition if I ever do one, to aim towards the tested ones.
