So the best idea they have for traveling into a parallel universe is to smash to atoms together. Why is that the top theory that will show there are parallel universes? Personally I think they should record the electrons disappearing and then just try to follow them or see if they really do just disappear or get smaller where they can't see them.

this all sounds a little farfetched to me. look here for example.

I am thinking of flicking my desk. look, I just flicked my desk. You are telling me that I just created an infinite amount of scenerios about thinking about flicking a desk, and following through with it, and how long do I make the flick after generating the thought. HOw hard did I flick it, what kind of repercussions will this desk now face 100 years from now, 100,000 years from now etc etc.

    1. It sounds pointless
    2. IT sounds like "something" is being created out of thin air
    3. For this to be true, parallel dimensions must be accumulating at an infinite rate. Holy shit, infinite rates, that blows my ****ing mind.

Surely, their has to be other theories about electrons dissappearing and reappearing.

simply incredible. but if there is a parallel universe for every possible outcome, then there must be a parallel universe where space and everything in it does not exist. so how can something that does not exist, actually exist in a parallel universe? and if there is every possible outcome for everything in one parallel universe, then there must be parallel universe where parallel universes do not exist, which voids the whole theory.
