They taste great, especially with "I can't believe it's not Butter" and red pepper.

As far as a complex carb, decent choice, however a little high on the GI scale most would agree.

As far as taters go, I utilize only sweet taters and red taters. Sweet being used throughout the day, and red PWO or before bed.

I didn't mean red bell peppers. I meant like red hot pepper powder.

Any kind of pepper powder for that matter, the hotter the better, IMO.

Yar Tobasco, is awesome for red taters.

I like to eat mine this way.

Boil your red taters for about 20-30 minutes... Then cut them up into quarter chunks.

Place them on a baking tray and sprinkle spices over, and bake or broil for another 10-15 minutes. They are delicious.

I use rosemary, oregano, pepper, and sometimes some celtic sea salt.

I do the same thing, right down to the spices!

Another thing I do is slice them up and put them in aluminum foil with some EVOO, onions, and assorted spices. Throw them on the grill while the steaks are cooking. Eat and Enjoy.

I must be lucky, when i have to buy them about $.50 a pound. This time of year they are free, fresh out of the fields and gardens.

It only counts if you shove a loco moco down your throat at the same time, and call it dieting.
