Other countries would post their debt clock online but they can't afford the 10$ per month of hosting.

It is really really sad that a country like the USA has such a large debt when only 12 or so years a go we had a surplus...

it started in 2005 when bush tried to please everyone and started appointed dems to cabinet spots (trying to be bipartisan)........the more liberal minded our country has gotten, the more fvcked up it's gotten....fact..............we will become the ussa instead of the usa very soon at the rate we're going

Yeah I hear what you're saying, but nothing I know how to do pays close to what linework pays me and I can make money doing side work for the time being... I'm pursuing my pro bodybuilding career until then

I don't follow politics very closely, but I can tell you what I know from my personal experience as owning my own company:

I contract work, and I make pretty good money doing it.

If I contract a job for 2 days, and I make 4k off the job....I already have to pay 6% on all my materials (welcome to michigan).

I then have to pay 33% on my income off the job.

I'm not a math wizz either, but 33% of the 4k + 6% off all the materials which is generally at least 6% of 4k is 40% in taxes.

So I have about $2700 left now.

Keep in mind, I've already paid for my labor, and in my labor budget, I pay about 65% to my employee's and 35% in taxes. For a guy I pay $10 an hour, I actually am paying about $17 an hour total.

So I've still got my $2700. Now I get to pay my property tax bills, my vehical registration bills, sales tax on anything I buy, a tax on my cell phones, cable, internet it goes on forever.

I honestly make less of each job I contract than the government does. I'm in a 33% tax bracket and I'm paying over 50% in taxes.

A lot of you guys are just working a job, taxes are deducted, if you are a lower income guy, you are even looking forward to tax season because you'll get a return.

I bust my ass, and pay out my ass every year. I see a lot of common knowledge, obvious retarded spending going on with a lot of things.

We all balance a check book, if the money is not there, don't write the check.

If my sister (americans) is sick, I'll find a way to make sure I can take care of her. But if the guy across town (Iraq) is sick, I'll hope his brother steps up and takes care of him. I'll drop a buck in a charity cup every day, but I'm not going to sell my house to take care of someone else's family.

    I forgot a few things:

What profit I do make, it generally spent invested into my company, it could be advertising, investing in more equipment, but it makes more American jobs, when I put more money into my American company.

What I do buy, because I own a American ran company, is American made products when ever I have that option.

I don't think that I'm always right, or maybe I'm not even right here.

But I think everyone would think of taxes and spending A LOT different if you got all your money, then had to write a check for over half of it to Uncle Sam.

It gives you a different perspective, than him just taking it before you ever see it. If you never see it, you tend to never miss it.

The Annual Budget was in surplus but the Country was still in overall debt.

It's cause we always find a bunch of things to spend on, outside of the budget.

The government is ran, by Americans, is it that hard to believe they are both in server debt?

I have a shocker for you, I'm a white male. I say just open the borders, Americans are not even proud to be Americans anymore, they just want to have the pecs of being American (better than everyone else).

Maybe some new blood, and a new mentality is just what we need?

All great things come to an end, all great powers eventually fall. That's just how it is, and always will be.
