How many pullups can you do?

I was inspired to make this thread to compare it to the results of this other forum I post on which is a car forum but yet 30+ members can allegedly do 10+ REAL pullups from a deadhang LMAO

true. grip would change things dramatically for me, but i guarantee i could do 10 in any grip. I could probably do 30 underhand-grip pull-ups.

I'm not sure to be honest.

I do pull-ups in front and behind the neck at various parts of my work-out.

If done at the beginning of the workout as a warm-up, I do multiple sets of 10-15.

If done at the end of the workout as a finisher/volumizer, I do multiple sets of 6-8.

Haven't done one all-out set ever.

Wouldn't really serve a purpose IMO.

I used to do 20 back when I was in the Marine Corps because we have this thing that some members will already know of called the PFT(Physical Fitness Test) and doing 20 pullups gave you a perfect score of 100 in that category so I never did more. But when I was in boot camp a kid in my platoon said he could do over 40 pullups and everybody called b.s. on him. The little bastard shut us all up when he knocked out around 45.

I start off every day with 35 pull-ups.

It's one of my favorite exercises. I generally break it into two sets of 17 or 18.

I like implementing a one second hang, once I'm fully extended, just to ensure good form / absolutely no swinging.

    I've done 13 in a row, strapped down with a 45 plate.

i'm sure i can do 10....but the question is wtf does svt consider a "real" pullup? I do them on back day usually and do 10 my first couple sets wide...but the tops of those reps may not be up to svt's liking

Wide grips are tough , close grip easy. Plus 10 for both. I normally do 3 sets of both wide's and chins before back workout.

Some years ago I think I got around 17 on third set with a 35lb weight. That was at about 155lbs. Now I'm 170lbs andI could probably do about 15 REAL pullups. Ill try tonight.

I do 3 sets 12-10-10 good form not all the way wide. I grip about half way when the bar starts to curve, i just feel those work better.
