    Exclamation Tatt/scar removal?

I had a embarrasing scar on my forearm and took a cover up tattoo.
Now I wanna remove the scar and possible also the tattoo.
I really wanna have it removed.
So Im looking for someone in the same boat or if someone has some real life experience on the matter.

Can I remove the scar and tattoo completely?

I have a doctors appointment next week and hoping for the best.

I don't know about the scar,

but I've had tats removed before.

if you get a good plastic surgeon, you can hardly tell anything was there.

but it's pricey. and insurance won't cover it.

You mean open the scar and let it heal. I think it will look better.
    Thanks.

I really don't think that scars go away or can be removed. I have 2 huge scars on my shoulder and 4 on my knee from reconstructive surgery so I know how much scars suck. Definitely talk to a doctor. I don't think anyone on these boards has a definite answer. I do, however, know there's a potion in Knothole Glade that gets rid of scars...

There are only a few reputable tattoo removers in the country. Why? Because it's a semi-new trade.

IPL has been around a while, and that's mainly what they use, but in regards to the skill at which the tatts are removed.... well not many surgeons/Dr.s actually have experience with tatt removal.

I would suggest finding someone who specializes in the procedures. Laser is the best. Black ink comes off the easiest, then reds, blues, and lastly greens.

You may have to go back for several sessions to have the tatt removed completely (depending on the color and density of the ink). EX: If you had your tatt layered several times, as in more than 1 session, it will take more laser sessions to remove.

In my case I had a sleeve that was layered 4 times, yes FOUR times. That means you do the tatt once, let it heal for 2 months, do the entire thing again, rinse repeat. This is the secret of flawless, dense, unfading ink. The best tatt artists in the world sue this technique.

Anyway, regardless, most people only get a simple little once through and it's usually the size of a pancake or smaller. Typical shit like this can be erased in usually 1-6 sessions, in some cases 12+.

Each laser session usually takes about 6 weeks to heal, and you have to wait that long before going back again to get a second+ session.

    Oh, the price of non-conformity.

    F you all.

    I hear ya.

Usually when you get tattoo'd you get a small amount of scaring from the ink. Any re constructive surgery you undergo will mostly likely alter the tattoo as well.

Back in my youth... got stuck climbing through a window that had iron bars I knocked through with a hammer... then I snaked through the window and one of the bent ones ripped a gash in my ass.

I had such an adrenaline rush I didn't notice. I was up to no good obviously.
