Poor circulation or maybe pinched nerves

If your free standing squats, then it's just a circulation issue from bending your elbows.
Stabilizing heavy weight is difficult sometimes.

I've seen people do squats with the bar in front of the neck rather than behind. Maybe that will help
-
What kind of padding do you wrap around the bar???
If any?
I used to use pipe insulation and ace bandages.
Trying to distribute the weight more evenly.
It worked.

I do not use any padding and no pain in the neck. The bar lies across my traps
