Everyone goes through this but I wonder if anyone else finds it as annoying as I do
mostly just being a whiney bitch and venting.
Example in question:
Friends texting me about going out and doing something tonight but i tell them i work till 5 then have legs to do tonight and likely am not up for alot tonight and all i get in response is things like
"dude dont do it! Just hang out!"
or
"**** that shit! come chill!"
and the like. Im sure all of you get the same thing.
Im glad my friends and bro want to hang out with me but **** man, dont try to kill my motivation for the gym in the process. Would be refreshing if sometimes the bros would say "ya dude! hell ya! Hit the gym, see how you feel, then hit me up!"
Only one or two of my friends actually keep their mouths shut with that negativity because they are gym rats too.
Same with dieting.
"Dude. youre not fat! Just eat these donuts i have left over!"
or
"bro! My gf made some brownies! Want some?"
**** YA I WANT SOME YOU DUMBASS BUT I CANT HAVE THEM RIGHT NOW! haha damn.
Just venting. Im sure many people get it alot worse than me.
Thanks guys!

I feel ya,
but I've mostly ostracized myself from most of my friends who aren't gym rats.

I just tell my friends that i might be there. If i show up cool, and if i don't no biggie. And for the brownies, i just eat those bastards. They know better than to have that shit laying around.

I had a 1/2 a pan last week.
You have to remember these people are your friends but they are not like you. Does not mean dont be friends. It just means there not going to understand unless they come to a competition you in and see what the hard work is for.
Its just the way it is.

no not at all. I'm never going to look back in life and go man i remember that sat night i did legs real hard at the gym. But i have looked back on sat nights i have had alot of fun with friends or hooked up with some hot girl. Muscles aren't made in one night. But memories are. I've rather be small and have a ton of fun and live life then be huge and the only thing i have to look back on is being in the gym alone

What do you do when they stop calling you?

wowwwww... Okay gone too far. It was a very simple thread. Not envolving wasting my life away in the gym, or ditch all my friends for leg day. For the record i got tore back last night with my brother and a ton of friends. But okay.

I get it alot also. "Why don't you have a beer with me?" "Do you want some wine? "Have one, these cookies are great." All that kind of shit. Sometimes it is really hard to say no, but it breaks down to what you want in life. I give in very very rarely.
But saying no, when i really do want to have a beer or have something to eat that isn't in my diet makes me pissed off and frustrated because all these other people are enjoying these luxuries i guess you could call it. While everyone else is eating what they want, drinking, going out all night with friends, i am in bed early, sticking to my diet, training, and very rarely drinking alcohol.
Bottom line, this is the choice i made. Some people just don't get why we do what we do.

I always find time for a bit of a social life for the wife and friends. Now when it comes to diet some friends really get on my nerves. I eat like a machine same thing everyday, barely cheat at all. I always get the following " dude you already look good have a cold one" or dude you got a six pack you could eat dessert". My answers are usually polite even though I feel like being a smart ass sometimes.
