    put the small line diagonally through the equals sign from bottom left to top right making the equation state two plus two plus five does not equal 247.

    the answer is *drum roll please*

    make a diagonal line from the top of the first "+" to the left side of the "+" making it a "4" thus... 242 + 5 = 247

    although the "does not equal" sign isn't a wrong answer either

    BUZZZZZ - improperly framed question, with multiple correct answers - Mike's answer is actaully more simple and thus is best IMO

    2 + 2 +5 = 247 another answer is to have a slight re-arrange which accomplishes (-22 + 5 + 24 = 7), the addition being the minus sign.
