Getting back in the game......Need help :(

    Hey guys,

I guess I need some kind of motivation here. When I got in knee deep shit a couple years ago with everything, I put everything on hold in bodybuilding. First I stopped gear immediately, so I've been off awhile....Then when this warrant was issued and I was arrested, I've let everything else go too. Been eating 3x a day, not training, no cardio...nothing. It sucks, but I've not been able to get my mind off this case until the other day.

Before this happened I was a 235 lb monster at 5'9, about 13-14% bodyfat....now I'm sitting right at 200 lbs with 20%. I know, that's awful....But is there anything that motivates you guys after a big burn out? I've already got my diet back on track and I start training next week. Should I cycle? Or just wait to peak out around 225 again?

Sorry it just sucks going from one extreme to the other. I've been training a long time and never had this happen to me.

i just look in the mirror and dont wanna look like that anymore and set a long term goal and meet it. Your only gonna get older and things are gonnna get harder so dont put it off. Time is gonna pass regardless of what you are doing so you might as well get in the gym and start eating better

I do the exact same thing on the eating part. But when I get back in its like a total 180. I guess a break every now and then isn't a bad thing. Just gotta get it allll back!!

A good friend of mine is the ONLY PERSON I know who keeps diet in check when injured. He tore his pec awhile back really bad and kept it as clean as can be. You may know the name, hes a natural bb pro, Layne Norton.

I looked in the mirror, and didn't like what I saw. I also started planning a trip to Jamaica with the wife. That has been a major factor in motivation, knowing that I want to look good on the beach.

You just have to force yourself to go for a week or two and then the next thing you know you will be in a regular routine. When I have a long break from the gym I actually get intimidated by the thought of going back and not being as strong as before, but after the first week back it becomes a regular part of my life

plus thing that got me started was my blood sugar level. I was .1 less then a diabetic...so i said to myself either being on insulin for the rest of my life and bitch abt it or just start doing what i use to do...it was easy from there.
