    Statue of liberty

How much money would you get if you were to scrap it for all the copper?

Dude you're gonna need a big truck to pull that one off lol.

I have no idea. One would have to first estimate the total weight of copper, and present price of copper per lb.

I just have no clue how much copper they used. An engineer might know..

Weight of copper used in Statue - 200000 pounds (100 tons)
Recycled copper is worth up to 90% of the cost of the original copper
    Current price is around $2.65 lb + - (http://www.metalprices.com/FreeSite/...p/cu_scrap.asp)
    total
    $530,000

Not very much, only 1/2 million

    ok so about $1.70 x 200000 = $340,000

I was expecting it to be a lot more for some reason. So you could get a house maybe if you chose to scrap the statue and sell her for her parts lmao
