my roomie had one in college, when they get big enough, you have to buy them mice all the time. It can be a pain in the ass. And the ****er just sits in a big fish tank.

I had a Black & White Argentinian Tegu - grow up to 5 or 6 feet long I believe..... I had him for a couple years and then gave him to someone who had a huge set up for big reptiles. He got big..... his food became rather expensive. He started on crickets and mashed food..... then progressed to frozen baby mice..... the young mice..... then adult mice..... then I read that once he was big enough he'd need frozen rats and rabbits..... I couldn't afford that at the time LOL. He was a gift from a girlfriend at the time.....

IMO..... don't get one. If it turns out to be nasty...... it'll be the worst pet of all time.....

I have a trouser snake. It's fully grown now at around 8 inches and knows a few tricks. Seems to spit up this milky fluid alot tho. Especially when being petted. I would get rid of it but I'm quite attatched to the little fvcker.

i use to have a corn snake man, loved him. got him when he was a baby, had him for 2 years. played with him a lot so he was very use to being handled and i had no problems with him, very calm. they dont grow to be too big but they re beautiful reptiles. he died suddenly, no idea why

a buddy of mine has a python and that b!tch is just getting too big and too strong. im not a fan of em, plus he feeds her huge rats now. says he might have to feed her rabbit and even chickens soon. dont know if hes kidding or not lol

look into some corn snakes bro, u might like em

I believe the source of his bashings come from dukkit's whore thread..... I just carry the tradition.

yea she's nice....never tried to bite me...and i've had her head in my face carrying her around before. The tank is huge, not like room sized huge, but huge nonetheless.

Rhul, from your reckoning its probably unconstitutional for the average american not to own anything like a Komodo Dragon or pet Tiger.

Anyways DD, ive owned many pets in the past. Lizards/reptiles are indeed very cool. They need lots of space, so you'll need a big tank, and they need special requirements like certain UV light, temperature and so on and so need a lot of attention. That being said they can turn into a cool hobby but like Moose said, if you feed them crickets, there is a HIGH chance of crickets escaping and they will make a lot of noise at night when you're trynna sleep :S

I had 2 LARGE iguanas but they are gone now
I had a ball python for 17 years until while I was on vacation my house keeper left my heat off during December and she died, the snake
I now have a Ball python that is a little over a year old.
A bearded dragon that is about 3 yrs old

DONT feed your poor snake pre killed mice. Give them live mice please, they like them much better and it more fun. Also the ball pythons really really like an occasional like gerbil, they are sort of a delicacy.

The bearded dragon just feed it crickets, live of course.

I have also had a tarantula (I hate spiders), rats (rats are smart) and various other reptiles over the years.

Cats are fine OUTSIDE, dogs only if you have several acres for then to run free...Birds, NO fvckn way.....

we don't have anywhere around to get rabbits big enough live to feed Terry (that's the snake's name)...and don't like to feed her live roosters cuz those damn spurs
