Honestly when I see dads bring their 5 year old sons into the gym, I get ****ing angry. The fathers are usually in piss-poor shape anyway. Skinny arms and a fat belly. They force their child to lift heavy weights, and scorn them when they quit. If I can get my hands on one of those dads I will go to work on him. Those 5-6 year old kids should be playing sports outside, and going to the park with with their friends. Not spending 2 hours on a saturday doing squats at some gym

My oldest are 6 and 4. We run, do sit-ups and push-ups. Pretty much whatever they want to do. We don't use weights. And we only go on weekends so we don't get in anybodys way. The gym is pretty much vacant.

I think this thread needs a poll,
IS THIS KID ON THE GEAR!!!
How can a 4 year old have that kind of definition and strength, he's either a natural freak, or his parents are crushing d-bols on his weetabix!!!

There is a fine line. I want my kids to be healthy, and enjoy fitness. I'm not sure I want them to be in it as deep as I am. Borderline addiction.

Well, if you drag a kid to a gym when he doesn't want to be there, he may grow to hate the gym. If he likes the gym, then it's cool. That is why I like the YMCA. I have had to bring my 6 year old daughter when I went to the gym when my wife was working. She would play with her friends all over the place for 90 minutes. Then by the time I finished my workout, she was ready to go home

My wife is from Michigan (Grandville). I go to the YMCA there when I am away from any military base. It is the one right across from Dunkin Donuts and Braums (If anybody is familiar with Grandville). There are two fathers there that always fit that description. I have seen them there 3 times out of the two weeks I lifted there

It's hard to say if this kids on the juice or not... In very rare cases kids are born with a myostatin deficiencies which cause them to become really strong at a young age... I'm sure you all remember this one:

This reminded me of another case, "little Hercules". Went to check up on him and found this:

hard to say about the juice. My little cousin at that age was ripped. Had abs and striations. He was like a little jungle kid though. Never stopped moving.

I HOPE they aren't feeding him any steroids like that other kid a few years back.
No it's not child abuse even if the parents encourage him to train every day. What little kid who is in gymnastics, baseball, football, soccer. It doesn't matter what it is there are going to be times when the kids does NOT want to go, doesn't want to practice and the parents do know what is best most of the time and yes parents need to push kids to do their best.
This kid will hopefully be able to parlay his talent into something that pays good.

Again, is it really that much different than any parent who encourages or makes his kid do sports or all the other things there are out there?
I dont see the kid looking upset about any of this or like he is being forced. What is wrong with making your kid learn something or exploiting his/her abilities? It's better than most of the little fat lazy bastards kids out there.
