Come on, are you really that ugly?
Call any plastic surgeon and ask them bro.....Thats what I did...
Call the best one and the worst one in town and find out where you can check for references and stuff like that.
make sure you know a lot about them before you go and have anything done. i knew two people who had visited mine and i asked for pictures although he did not have any. he was voted #1 by other doctors in the area so i was very confident that he was good.
Winners never quit...Quitters never win!!!

Hehe, I think he was joking, either that or when someone says "plastic surgery," it's kind of the knee-jerk reaction to assume they are talking about something to the face. That's awesome that you lost that much weight!Originally posted by dern180

Ask the surgeon if he knows anything about removing tails. My uhhhh friend needs his removed.![]()
Ok there been no help what so ever. THANKS
I don't know anything about it, but I would say do a search for some kind of association they have. Like dentists have ADA...plastic surgeons have the same...I'm pretty sure they do anyway. Or do a search on plastic surgeons in NY and see if there's any kind of site that offers unbiased info.
Congrats on the weight loss and good luck with the surgery!
Did you ever stop to consider that we might not know the answer? Making conversation keeps this thread bumped, so I'll accept your thank you.Originally posted by dern180

First I would check to see if he was board certified like Cali is talking about. Then I would check with the AMA and ask how one goes about checking for credentials. Include references from patients who have had the precedure that you want to have done. Make sure you find out about any lawsuits or malpractice suits brought against the doctor and outcomes of those cases. I am not sure how much of this can be done over the internet. I think you will have to do some phone work.

see how many years they have been in practice and you can email them or call them and ask questions.
I mean this when I say it thank you.
