I was able to watch from 12-1:30am and saw 2 meteor's. One was really really fast..... the other was fast too but had a beautiful long blue tail on it...... very cool!
I went to bed after that and woke up at 4:30 only to see the sky filled with clouds......

im here in the southwest with some of the best skies in the states
i saw about 10-15 meteors, most just looked like shooting stars. i did see 2 that were awesome! great tails on em. went out about 2-245am my time
i expected a lot more..1st shower ive ever seen so i was a little disapointed i thought is was gonna be swarms of meteors! haha
overall cool experience. Asia def had the best seat in the house though

Yeah north america was going to get max 20-30 meteors at peak time (4:00am for me on the east coast) - asia was supposed to get around 100 per hour!

Yeah i bet! My neighbors had their bright ass light on..... and the one accross the stret had his bright ass light on..... AT 1:30AM! Friggin asholes...... LOL
I STILL managed to see two tho..... I was happy for that. The wife called me nuts for sitting out in the cold LOLOL but i took two reeses cups out with me to keep me company and ate one after I saw each meteor LMFAO!
I would love to plan a trip out your way just for astronomy reasons..... a camping/hiking trip of sorts. Also, a little golf mixed in

def the spot to do the camping and hiking here in NM. a friend mines aunts hikes and has been all around the US and said NM has some of the best spots
golfing is decent. a lot of desert courses which im sure would be cool to u guys out east.
cheap too man! you can play at college courses for less than 20 bux and the nicer courses are only 30-50 depending which one

DAMN! theres a cheapie course by me which actually isn't too bad.... it's $20 after 4pm on weekdays LOL! A couple places i've played at are no less than $80 on saturday..... damned rediculous. I'd LOVE a desert course! My boss is flying to Arizone in december to golf with his father...... fvcker has won a tournament before..... shoots around a 74 consistantly.

when i lived in TX i rememeber golfing with my dad and the fees were ridiculous!
i bet AZ has some great courses if u can handle that heat, its pretty bad
