    My Mom

    My mom passed away today at 5:30pm from Cancer. May she rest in peace and I will miss you always!

    May I Go?
    May I go now?
    Do you think the time is right?
    May I say goodbye to pain filled days
    and endless lonely nights?
    I've lived my life and done my best,
    an example tried to be.
    So can I take that step beyond
    and set my spirit free?
    I didn't want to go at first,
    I fought with all my might.
    But something seems to draw me now
    to a warm and living light.
    I want to go
    I really do.
    It's difficult to stay.
    But I will try as best I can
    to live just one more day.
    To give you time to care for me
    and share your love and fears.
    I know you're sad and afraid,
    because I see your tears
    I'll not be far,
    I promise that, and hope you'll always know
    that my spirit will be close to you
    wherever you may go

    Thank you so for loving me.
    You know I love you too,
    that's why it's hard to say goodbye
    and end this life with you.
    So hold me now just one more time
    and let me hear you say,
    because you care so much for me,
    you'll let me go today

    Wow man I have no idea what you must be going through, I hate hearing stuff like this, but I can only hope you realize your mother would NOT want you to be in any pain.

    I pray you find the strength to pull through this. Lost 6 relatives to cancer over the last 15 years (3 grand parents, 2 immediate cousings and 1 - 3rd cousin) I really hope we find some way to fight this disease it takes too many lives

    Mate my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I read this poem at my daughters funeral and I think it applies to your Mum as well

    I appriciate everything you all have to say. I was up at the hospital for 10-12 hours a day everyday for about 3 weeks. She passed away right when I got home to get something to eat. I just got into the house and the phone rang.

    I am not a cryer but this time I have never cryed so much in my life! She was the best mom a son could have and its hard to see good people in this world suffer while others get away with anything.

    i know how u feel mate my grandmother passed away then not even a month later my pitbull passed away

    the best thing u can do is keep your head up high and dont see it as a death but a celebration of the life she lived im sure your mom wouldnt want you to be sad but to be happy knowing she loved u and had a full life

    now u can honor her by living on and living a life she would have been proud of

    My prayers and thoughts are with you..

    This January will be 2 yrs since my mom passed away from cancer the details of a mom passing from this disease are different for everyone, but we all have the same type of loss.

    It will take some time, and now after 2 yrs it still stings with the "what if I had" type of issues, but you remember all the good someone had not only in your life but the lives of others.

    Gives a whole new meaning to "Honor your Mother and your Father"
