    Unhappy opinions needed

well i need some opinions , Id appreciate all the input.. maybe some of you experienced with this situation ( hope not ).

Long story short, after my set i always re-rack the weights, d/bells , so after my set i was rolling the d/b on the floor and it hit and broke the bottom corner of the mirror...

then manager came and asked if he could talk to me, so this guy said their insurance wont cover the whole cost of the replacement , they want me to pay 50% of it which is 6000baht (about $190 usd )..
for some reason he knew the price off hand already thats what got me curious then he said couple of mirrors has been broken before .

so if its such an expensive mirror how come they dont have any raised metal bars or some kind of protection for the damn mirrors even they have been broken before?? And they are a big company they have branches of gyms do you think they actually have such as shitty insurance policy??

Because it's Thailand, anything they can do to make a buck. If they keep the mirror raises up far enough so no one would do that how would he make and extra $20 off of you?

Explain the concept of stepping over a dollar to pick up a dime and you wont be back to his gym? Is it Tonys?

Im sure it will piss him off but ask him who's stupid design it was to put the mirror so low and if it's been broke before who's stupid idea was it to keep putting it back the same way??? Ask him if he is capable of learning anything NEW or is he just to old of a dog to learn new tricks?

dont you think its also their fault that there is still no protection belt or raised bars to protect the mirror even tho its been broken

As I stated YES... Talk to the owner, dont pay the manager and ONLY agree to pay if they will fix the problem, not just the mirror.

I would definately talk to the owner..... don't pay anyone else a dime. Tell them you would like a copy of the insurance payment and a copy of the bill for the mirror and you will pay the difference.

You broke it.... you buy it. At the same time..... you shouldn't get HOSED......

Why are the mirrors so low? I roll my db's to and from the bench all the time. Why spend the extra energy in carrying them? But unfortunately, you need to pay for it. Just the right thing to do imo....I just hope you can avoid being screwed. Good luck man.

i told them that they know the mirror is so expensive and they know that the exactly same thing has happened so many times in the past and unlucky people like me cant pay for it..

so i told the manager that he has to talk with his boss and find a solution for all the mirrors as they are all very low.
