You didn't hear?
This question is just a stab in the dark. I met Adrians brother (Aaron) this past weekend and he told me that he talks on some boards and I thought that he might be a member on this board. And GG i know he didnt die...haha
Looking for someone named Adrian in Canada, eh?
On a different note, anyone know this guy called John in Scotland? I need to talk to him.

I know an Adrian not in college though...hmmm...my village is called Canada....hmmm

He may not reply for a while. I was down at the saloon and I overheard the sheriff saying something about Adrian being thrown in the cell for getting drunk on the shine. Normally he'd be out tomorrow, but the sheriff's had a score to settle ever since Adrian robbed that train.
Canadians eh? What are those?

In Canada our goalies stop high shots with their gloves instead of letting it bounce over their heads into the net.Originally posted by palme

Cuz they sure did win, over Sweden by 8-2 (or if not that exactly a very high score.)
It's okay, Sweden is still nice (hehe, i used to live there for about 4-5 years). I'll give them some credit![]()

Lived in "Lingshoppin" (sp?) for about 4 years or so. Nice country, clean country, taxes kinda high, but overall it was nice. If it wasn't for the constant cloudiness and bad weather, along with the general racisim of the people (it was quite bad back in 83-87) we would have probably stayed there.Originally posted by palme

My brother actually did stay longer (after our family moved). He lived in "Vasteros" for a while and got married, finished University. But then he moved hereMuch nicer here (weather wise and culture wise).

Linköping and Västerås
I live in Uppsala myself. Another university city
Did you get the rasism directed against you? We have alot of "closet" rasists here. And it has gotten worse over the years. Segrigation(sp) will do that.
I actually feel sorry for Tommy Salo, partly because I'm a fan and partly because its impossible to dislike someone so genuine. Swedish fans called his family after the game and threatened to kill them...all over something that happens to every goalie sometime in their career.
Not directed at me, no. I was only 2-6 when I lived there. So I don't remember much. But, from what I can remember, in terms of the kids, they were mostly all good to me, I had lots of swedish friends and we did get along. However, it was much tougher for my sister who was in her teens at the time (13-17) and my brother who was just getting into his late teens. Also, from what i've heard from my parents, it was also directed at them, obviously.Originally posted by palme

What I notice tho, is that they are quite friendly to people who speak English. I mean, it's as if its a bit easier for them. I remember my sister telling me a lot of swedish students were interested and became friends with her because she knew english very well (my family also lived the U.S. before I was born, in Lousiana (sp?) to be exact.)
